What to Expect from Your Therapy Intensive
This is not a one-size-fits-all program. Every intensive is personalized to meet your unique needs, experiences, and goals.
Here’s what you can expect:
Pre-Intensive Consultation
We’ll start with a one-on-one session to understand your goals, history, and current challenges. Together, we’ll create a customized plan for your intensive experience. The pre-intensive consultation will be one hour over a video call. This call is very important to help start building rapport and helping us create a tailor made intensive for your individual needs.
Full-Day or Multi-Day Intensives
In these focused sessions, we’ll use EMDR techniques, mindfulness tools, and personalized strategies to address your anxiety and create lasting change. The flow for sessions will be unique for each person, but the first day for each person will be about enhancing your coping/ grounding skills. The following days will be tailored to what we discuss in the consultation call.
Post-Intensive Support
After the intensive, you’ll have access to follow-up sessions or resources to maintain your progress and stay on track. When the intensive is over our work together doesn’t have to end. Everyone will have an option to either do monthly check-ins to ensure that your progress stays on track, or we can move to more traditional therapy. The post-intensive support will once again be tailored made to what makes the most sense for you individually.
Remember: Intensives are tailored made just for you. Every session and step will be based on your needs and unique to you.
